Prior to joining AECP, Carrie served as an application support specialist and system administrator on multiple practice management platforms. Carrie is an expert at optimizing the overall effectiveness of the revenue cycle and has created tools and processes for monitoring and reporting on accounts receivable trends, resulting in superior clinic performance. With thirty years of experience in ophthalmology, Carrie brings a wealth of billing, credentialing, health information management, quality reporting and IT support service expertise to Associated Eye Care Partners.
In her role as the Director of Health Information Management for Associated Eye Care, she oversaw the performance of all HIM functions, including HIPAA and OSHA compliance, incoming and outgoing referral coordination and electronic exchange of health information. Having led the organization in Meaningful Use success, her team continued to achieve maximum MACRA/MIPS incentives.
As a NextGen Certified Professional, she is skilled at data mining and creating data displays for management decision support. In addition to her role as Project Manager for the implementation of NextGen electronic health records and subsequent upgrades for Associated Eye Care, she built and customized the clinic templates and documents in 2011 and 2014.
